Research
Conduct a Systematic Evidence Review
A reproducible, bounded synthesis with transparent search, screening, extraction, bias assessment, and reporting.
The process
Work it in this order.
- Formulate the review question, intended use, protocol, eligibility criteria, outcomes, and stopping date before searching.
- Select information sources and record complete search strategies, dates, filters, and limits for each source.
- Import results into a deduplicated register while retaining source database and identifier metadata.
- Screen titles and abstracts, then full texts, recording reviewer decisions and exclusion reasons under the protocol.
- Extract predefined study characteristics and results into a calibrated form and verify high-impact entries.
- Assess risk of bias or evidence limitations using a method appropriate to the study designs.
- Synthesize findings without overstating certainty and report search counts, exclusions, included studies, limitations, conflicts, and update date.
Bring this
Inputs the cat will ask for.
- Review question and intended use
- Eligibility criteria and date limits
- Databases or source access
- Preferred appraisal framework
Router + one playbook
Route first. Choose one.
Cat Paw loads one playbook per task rather than merging several. Start with this router; the remaining paths are workflow-specific candidates it can inspect.

Guardrails
The boundaries travel with the prompt.
- Do not change eligibility criteria after seeing results without documenting and justifying the amendment.
- Do not infer causation or certainty beyond the underlying designs and appraisal.
- For health, legal, or financial decisions, require review by appropriately qualified professionals.
Done means
A checkable finish.
A third party can reproduce the searches and screening trail, every included study has a structured extraction and appraisal, and the final synthesis reports limitations and selection counts.
