Run a Two-Week Movement Habit Experiment

A low-friction movement routine tested in real life and revised from actual adherence and enjoyment.

The process

Work it in this order.

  1. Choose one brief, accessible movement the user already feels able and willing to do.
  2. Attach it to a stable cue such as ending lunch, arriving home, or closing the workday.
  3. Define a very small minimum version and an optional longer version so difficult days still have a viable action.
  4. Prepare the environment in advance—for example, shoes, route, music, space, or an indoor alternative.
  5. Run the experiment for two weeks and record whether it happened, context, enjoyment, effort, and any discomfort.
  6. Use supportive reminders and resume at the next cue after a miss rather than compensating with excessive activity.
  7. Review the evidence and keep, modify, relocate, or replace the habit based on safety, fit, and enjoyment.

Bring this

Inputs the cat will ask for.

  • preferred accessible movement
  • stable daily cue
  • two-week availability
  • relevant limitations or clinician guidance

Router + one playbook

Route first. Choose one.

Cat Paw loads one playbook per task rather than merging several. Start with this router; the remaining paths are workflow-specific candidates it can inspect.

  • skills/product/pm-data-analytics/cohort-analysis/SKILL.md

Guardrails

The boundaries travel with the prompt.

  • Do not prescribe movement as treatment for a medical or mental-health condition.
  • Avoid streak shame, punishment, compensatory exercise, or weight-focused pressure.
  • Pause for sharp, worsening, or unexplained pain and consult a qualified professional when symptoms or health conditions raise concern.
  • Use emergency services for severe or alarming symptoms.

Done means

A checkable finish.

The two-week log is reviewed and the user has made an explicit evidence-based choice to keep, modify, move, or stop the habit.
