Build a Gradual Weekly Physical Activity Plan
A realistic week of enjoyable movement that starts from the user’s current ability and can be adjusted safely.
The process
Work it in this order.
- Ask about current activity, preferred activities, schedule, equipment, accessibility needs, and any clinician-provided limits.
- Choose a modest weekly movement goal that is feasible from the user’s present baseline.
- Place short sessions in the calendar and include warm-up, cool-down, recovery, and alternatives for bad weather or low-energy days.
- Use simple effort cues such as the talk test or the user’s familiar exertion scale rather than prescribing medical targets.
- Track completion, perceived effort, enjoyment, and pain or unusual symptoms without treating missed sessions as failure.
- Change only a small aspect at a time—frequency, duration, or challenge—when the current week feels manageable.
- Review weekly and keep, swap, shorten, or pause activities based on experience and qualified medical guidance.
Bring this
Inputs the cat will ask for.
- current activity level
- available days and time
- preferred activities and equipment
- accessibility needs or clinician-provided restrictions
Router + one playbook
Route first. Choose one.
Cat Paw loads one playbook per task rather than merging several. Start with this router; the remaining paths are workflow-specific candidates it can inspect.

Guardrails
The boundaries travel with the prompt.
- Provide general planning and education, not medical clearance, diagnosis, rehabilitation, or individualized exercise prescription.
- People with health concerns, pregnancy, recent surgery or injury, or concerning symptoms should consult a qualified professional before changing activity.
- Stop and seek urgent care for chest pain, fainting, severe breathing difficulty, or other alarming symptoms.
- Never encourage exercising through sharp, worsening, or unexplained pain.
Done means
A checkable finish.
The user approves a one-week schedule with feasible sessions, recovery and fallback options, effort guidance, and a review date.
