Analyze Community Claims and Sentiment

A bounded community pulse that samples claims, separates support from sarcasm and anecdote, tracks sentiment and uncertainty, and never treats volume as representative opinion.

The process

Work it in this order.

  1. Define the communities, claim or topic, sampling frame, language, date window, research question, and the decisions the pulse may inform.
  2. Check platform terms and actual access before collection, use approved public endpoints, and route any private community evidence through Latch/target-workspace.
  3. Collect posts or comments with timestamp, pseudonymous author, permalink, text, thread context, and engagement while redacting unnecessary personal data.
  4. Code each item for claim stance, rationale, intensity, certainty, sarcasm or ambiguity, and evidence type, retaining an explicit unclear category.
  5. Aggregate by time and relevant subgroup with denominators, missingness, selection effects, moderation effects, and disagreement visible rather than hiding them in one score.
  6. Cross-check high-impact claims against a primary or authoritative source and investigate contradictions before interpreting the community signal.
  7. Publish the pulse with sampling details, coded examples, confidence, limitations, evidence, and unresolved risks, and pause before posting or contacting anyone.

Bring this

Inputs the cat will ask for.

  • community and claim boundaries
  • sampling window and language
  • approved access and privacy rules
  • research question and output audience

Router + one playbook

Route first. Choose one.

Cat Paw loads one playbook per task rather than merging several. Start with this router; the remaining paths are workflow-specific candidates it can inspect.

Guardrails

The boundaries travel with the prompt.

  • Verify the actual tools, accounts, permissions, and workspace before starting; never claim an unavailable tool, account, source, or capability.
  • Use Latch/target-workspace for private code, artifacts, live probes, or non-public data; if that access is unavailable, stop at the boundary and report the blocker rather than substituting a guess.
  • Pause for explicit approval before consequential external actions; return evidence and unresolved risks, assumptions, and any action still awaiting approval.

Done means

A checkable finish.

A reproducible community pulse preserves its sampling frame and coded evidence, distinguishes sentiment from volume and anecdote, and reports limitations and unresolved risks.

A human brake for AI.

Latch shows every command, click, and file change before it happens — so you can say yes, no, or not yet.

Behind the number

Two harnesses. One line.

Same number, same $100 credit. Pick the harness that answers when you text.

Hermes

Nous Research's terminal-native agent. It runs on your machine, keeps memory between sessions, and opens one playbook per task.

OpenClaw

The open-source assistant that runs on your own computer and answers in the channels you already use. One playbook per task.
