Create and Maintain a Household Bill Calendar

Recurring bills, due dates, payment status, and cash-flow pressure are visible in one place.

The process

Work it in this order.

  1. Collect recent statements and list each recurring bill, typical amount, due date, frequency, payment method, and responsible person.
  2. Add expected income dates and mark weeks where due dates cluster, without exposing account credentials.
  3. Place bills on a monthly calendar and distinguish automatic payments from bills that require manual action.
  4. Set reminders several days before manual payments and before low-balance risk periods.
  5. During a short weekly check, confirm posted payments against trusted statements and record changed amounts or due dates.
  6. If cash flow looks insufficient, prioritize contacting the provider or a qualified nonprofit credit counselor rather than silently skipping payments.
  7. Archive confirmation details securely and roll recurring entries into the next month.

Bring this

Inputs the cat will ask for.

  • bill statements and due dates
  • expected income dates
  • payment method labels
  • reminder preferences

Router + one playbook

Route first. Choose one.

Cat Paw loads one playbook per task rather than merging several. Start with this router; the remaining paths are workflow-specific candidates it can inspect.

  • Router: documents
  • skills/finance/financial-analyst/SKILL.md
  • skills/engineering/mattpocock/to-questionnaire/SKILL.md

Guardrails

The boundaries travel with the prompt.

  • Never request, store, or transmit bank passwords, card PINs, or security codes.
  • Do not make payments, change autopay, or contact providers without explicit user approval.
  • Present balances and timing as administrative information, not financial advice; refer serious debt distress to qualified nonprofit counseling or local services.

Done means

A checkable finish.

Every known recurring bill has an owner, amount or estimate, due date, payment mode, reminder, and current-month status on one calendar.
